KIDS IMPROVISED & SKETCH SHORT FILMS
"Like a Saturday Night Live for kids, but more-Ton O Fun" – Previous Student.
Develops confidence, creativity, empowerment & Quick thinking. Learn Improv, Sketch Comedy, write, direct and produce your own short film-created entirely by the kids!

Instructor, Brooklin Green, is a local Mom and Comic w/ a BA in performance. Grad of The Second City Conservatory, the top Improv & Sketch Comedy training center in the world, with such famous alumni as Gilda Radner, John Belushi, Michael Myers, Chris Farley and many others. Stand-up Credits include: Nick at Nite's Funniest Mom in America – Regional Finalist*
Local Background: She's also worked w/Communities In Schools of Brunswick County. Dreams of Wilmington, Cape Fear Academy & Cape Fear Community College (Teaching all ages-Improv, Sketch Comedy & Acting classes) & Stageworks youth theatre.
W/Experienced CFCC Film instructor w/over 20 years teaching and film MA.
**Comedy Improv & Sketch -
Learn to Be a kid again! Learn the basics of Improv you may recognize from Who's line is it anyway, and the basis of shows like Saturday night Live, Mad TV, SCTV, and Movies like Best in Show. This class is great for performers and non-performers (PUBLIC SPEAKING, TEACHING, OR FUN), and others who are interested in learning to think creatively and quick on your feet. New to Improv or want to brush-up your skills? Learn from a graduate of the #1 training center-Chicago's Second City Conservatory. Get to know other people, while learning- Comedy, concentration, focus, unity, spontaneity, creativity, trial & error get through performance insecurities, all while having a great time! 12 weeks Mon.

**STANDUP COMEDY WORKSHOP
ALWAYS WANTED TO TRY IT? GAIN CONFIDENCE, GET FEEDBACK, WRITING EXERCISES, AND THE OPEN MIC EXPERIENCE This is a workshop focused on getting you to your first open mic. This will give you an open forum to try out your material, create new material, gain feedback and overcome performance anxiety. We will also research national/regional stand-up auditions and submissions. WEDNSDAY NIGHTS 6-9PM BEGINING AUGUST 27TH 12 WEEKS through CFCC.

Maxann Crotts is coming to Cary, NC on SAT.AUG 30th & SUN AUG 31st, 2008 to give a much needed workshop in the Film and Commercial industry! If you can’t come on Sat, come Sun! If you have ever wanted to be in movies or in commercials, this is the workshop to take! Don’t miss it!!
Maxann has been in this business since 1985. She started off as a Casting Director and she is now Producing. She has recently produced THE MILL, which has sold to 4 countries and waiting for USA distribution!
Maxann’s previous casting projects are: “Blood Done Sign My Name, April Fool’s Day, The Strangers, Juwanna Mann, The Fugitive, Major League, O, Blackdog, Shake Rattle & Roll,
Ta Ra Rum Pum, Breakfast of Champions” (starring Bruce Willis), Carrie 2-The Rage & More!
Maxann has several projects she is Producing, in development and hopes to get started this Winter!
This workshop is very informative, even for those that have previous experience.

• The Audition process and Audition Techniques
• Why one person may have gotten the role over another
• Film Terms
• Set Protocol
• Looking for Auditions on your own/Getting your SAG card
• What not to do in an Audition
• The do’s and don’ts of the business
• Good headshots/Bad headshots
• Your resume
• “I don’t have any experience, can I still be in movies”?!
• “I don’t look like a model, can I still work”? “Can my child be in movies”?
• You will also read a commercial or monologue and possibly some copy from some of the scripts that will be produced in the near future
• We also do Improv, which is so much fun! There is so much more to this workshop!
